Course Descriptions

 

 

 

 

The Timothy Program is offered by Quarters of 13 weeks (see the sample link below to view the breakdown of 8 total Quarters, along with a few sample pages from lessons).  It is designed to be a two year curriculum. Each section offers Bible Lessons from both the Old and New Testaments, Historical Timelines, Geography, a Glossary, relevant cultural information and biographies and Lessons in Hebrew.  There are also suggested verses to commit to memory.  Also included in each quarter are diary pages to record prayer, meditation, evangelism, missions, fellowship and ministry in your life and the life or your family.

 

 

 

Quarter One Description

 

Salvation - A comparison study between Genesis 22:1-19 which is the story of Abraham offering his only son, Isaac, on the altar on Mt. Moriah with the LORD offering His only begotten son, Jesus, on Calvary for all mankind to have eternal life.
Bible - A study of what the Bible is, why it is called the Bible, how it was canonized, the proper names for both Testaments and readings that help reveal its power and authority.
Water Baptism - A study of the source of water baptism called the "Miqveh," the "Repentance Baptism" of John, and New Testament water baptism commonly called "Immersion."
Messiah
- A study of the need for the Messiah, that Jesus is God's Messiah, an example of how Messianic teaching threads itself through Scripture, and the importance of participating in the LORD's table, commonly called communion.

The .pdf download for this quarter is 108 pages total including lessons, diaries, and sample tests.  If you choose to order this course through us as an audit course, this is the download of coursework you will receive along with email access to Dr. Coke as your professor.  If you take the accredited course through Jubilee Christian College, you will receive your coursework directly from them once you have registered.

 

Quarter Two Description

 

How to Study - A study on who are the "God fearers," how to conduct a "yeshivah" (group Bible study), how to lead a family in Bible study and how to properly do personal Bible study
Benshen and the Early Christian Meal - A comparison study between Acts 2:42 and Deuteronomy 8:7-20 to learn the importance of the family table and how to practice turning the family table into an altar before the LORD.  This study will also teach the importance of blessing each family member. Douglas A. Wheeler, Ph.D. is the author of this lesson.
The Blessings
- A study of how the Head of the Household should bless children and how the husband should bless his wife and the wife her husband in the presence of their children.
Husband/Wife Relationship - A study of the subject: "What the Bible really teaches about the Husband/Wife relationship.  Attention is given to the roles of the husband and wife, and the role of God and the subject of "divorce."

 

Quarter Three Description

 

Tithing - A study of Deuteronomy 26, the definitive chapter in the Bible on "how to" present the Lord's tithe. Also studied are the correct uses of the Lord's tithe and the correct reasons for tithing.

Week 30 - First Step in Tithing - Work
Week 31 - Second Step in Tithing - Set Aside First fruits
Week 32 - Third Step in Tithing - Go
Week 33 - Fourth Step in Tithing - Declare to Man of God
Week 34 - Fifth Step in Tithing - Surrender God's Tithe
Week 35 - Sixth Step in Tithing - Declare Before the LORD Your God
Week 36 - Seventh Step in Tithing - Humble Yourself Before God
Week 37 - Eighth Step in Tithing - Rejoice Over Good God Gives
Week 38 - Ninth Step in Tithing - Give God's Tithe to Man of God
Week 39 - Tenth Step in Tithing - Declare to the LORD Your God
