 JIMMILEA BERRYHILL DPhil, DLitt

Dr. Berryhill has been involved in Christian education for 25 years, assisting in the development of one two-year Bible school and two four-year college programs, and one graduate study program. She has completed research in biblical history, Hebrew language, ancient culture, historical and contemporary women's studies, ethics, character education, counseling, research writing, and business and academic administration.

Currently, Dr. Berryhill serves as an adjunct faculty member for American Institute of Holy Land Studies, Sherwood, Arkansas; Founded Jubilee College in 1994 and currently serves as adjunct faculty and President Emeritus of Jubilee Christian College; Co-Director of the Graduate School of Biblical Studies (2005-present), and President and Director of Women Restored Ministries (1995-present).

Dr. Berryhill completed a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Oxford Graduate School, Dayton, TN in 2003 and was awarded the Doctor of Letters degree in April 2007. She has studied at Jerusalem University College in Jerusalem, Israel and Oxford University, Oxford, England. As a Scholar level member of the Oxford Society of Scholars, Dr. Berryhill has presented papers at Kellogg College- Oxford Univesity, Oxford, England. Dr. Berryhill has authored one book, Women Restored, (1999), journal articles for Restored Magazine, and the International Civic Education Association and has self-published several studies for women. Other ministry area include mission projects in 15 nations and periodically serves as an intructor for the Campus Crusade International Leadership Training program in Minsk, Belearus and Diriamba, Nicaragua.

PROFESSIONAL HISTORY IN EDUCATION

1982-1985: Christian Ministries Academy

Developed a music program and choir for performance and competition at the National Accelerated Christian School Conference in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Concert Choir, Ensemble, and individual performers won awards in all classes in 1984 and 1985.

Selected music for holiday performances, worked with all grade levels to produce Christmas musical performances.

Developed a program for adolescent girls and high school girls to teach grace, femininity, manners, and etiquette.

1986-1987: Applied Life Institute, Hot Springs, Arkansas
Assisted in the organization of a new Bible college. Administrative organization, course curriculum development, student services coordination. Served as secretary, music instructor, counselor, dorm mother to students, and instructor in various classes.

1988-1991: International School of Ministry, Jasper, Arkansas

Served as administrator for the International School of Ministry, Jasper Arkansas from 1988-1991. Obtained accreditation for the school, coordinated students and faculty, made arrangements for housing and food for 4 school sessions per year.
Developed the organizational structure and obtained accreditation for the school.

1988-1991: End-Time Handmaidens and Servants Mission Organization

Served as administrative coordinator for office personnel and housing staff, 1988-1991.

Conducted three mission trips to Mexico for high school age participants, 1987-1999.

Coordinated convention activities for 2000 attendees to international ETH conventions in St. Louis, Mo, 1988-1999.

Served as assisting director of Israel tour for 60 participants in October 1989.

Established Bible training schools in Zimbabwe and Nigeria on behalf of ETH, 1990.

Participated in ministry trip to Trinidad-Tobago and Israel, 1989.

Organized Labor-Day Conferences, arranged for speakers, housing, food, and travel for participants, 1989-1990.

Organized two-week youth camps for 40 young people whose parents served in various ministry capacities, 1988-1999.

Conducted youth services for 200 youth at national conventions. Used Why Wait abstinence material published by Josh McDowell and mission ministry materials personally developed and presented -1987-1990.

1992-1994: Cave Creek Christian Academy

Founded a mission school in the Ozark Mountains, for mountain children. The school was personally funded. Students participating in the program reached academic excellence, some receiving full college scholarships, 1992-1995. Served as instructor and administrator for the school. Additional volunteer personal also served as instructors and assistants.

Organized and sponsored two summer camps for local children in Newton County Arkansas, 1992-1993. Campers raised money for the camps by picking blackberries and doing chores for family and friends. Tuition was minimal ($50.00 per child for a full week of activities). Those unable to pay were welcomed as scholarship participants. Teachers and volunteer parents from SOS in Omaha, Nebraska served as instructors, cooks and activity directors. Activities included classes, games, float trips, swimming and fishing. Students were housed in newly constructed bunkhouses.

Sponsored three retreats for students from SOS Christian High School located in Omaha, Nebraska, 2991-1994. Organized the travel, activities, food, teaching and mentorship programs during the three-day events. Activities were similar to camp activities. All these events were held at Cave Creek Farms, Mt Judea, Arkansas

1994-Present: Jubilee Schools

Restructured the K-12 program to be primarily a support school organization for home school parents who wish to teach their children but who lack the confidence and expertise to choose materials, establish routines, and participate in their child’s schooling.  Parents are encouraged, trained in educational programs to help them develop a home school fitted for their family.

Offered resources to parents at cost and services by Jubilee staff are offered free of charge. Arranged for student testing and record keeping for students with the option of classroom study a few hours a week for subjects that are more difficult to master.

1994-Present: President of Jubilee Christian College, Malvern, Arkansas

Founded a two-year program in 1994 in Harrison, Arkansas. Jimmilea Berryhill wrote and taught courses, coordinated other courses, invited instructors, arranged travel and housing, conducted administrative duties and coordinated student services.

The school evolved into a four-year degree program by 1998. The program included degrees in Biblical Studies, Ministry, and Ancient Middle Eastern History. Jimmilea Berryhill wrote curriculum, taught classes, mentored students, and integrated courses for visiting instructors.

During the years 1998-2002 Jubilee conducted satellite schools in Omaha, Nebraska; Loveland, Colorado; London, England and Branson, Missouri.

As President, distance-learning programs were developed for Jubilee Christian College. Courses for online participation were produced and distance students were incorporated into the program in 1999.

The research library for Jubilee Christian College grew as new resource books were obtained from libraries, from booksellers and from publishing companies.
Procured state approval as a Christian college in the State of Arkansas. Applied for exemption as a religious school, submitted detailed information about the school and received approval in 2005.

1995-Present: Founder/Director of Women Restored Ministries

Founded the women’s support and learning ministry in connection with the book, Women Restored. Organized five Women Restored Conferences, three in America, two in Australia, one in Nicaragua.

Wrote materials for women’s studies and developed programs for personal development to be used by women’s study groups, home groups, and churches.

Established a web site to publish articles, events, and ideas concerning the restoration of women as joint partners in the role of Christian ministry.

2000-Present: Director of Light Ministry Missions

Using prior mission experience a program of teaching was developed for international ministry. Programs included: establishing college programs, introducing young people to mission experiences, training women internationally, training pastors and leaders internationally.

2005-Present: Co-Director Graduate School of Jewish-Christian Studies

Worked with other biblical scholars to develop a graduate research degree program in the field of historical research using language development, historical, archeological, cultural, and political research to develop scholarly Christian leaders to teach and train Christian leaders.

2004-Present: Member of the Executive Committee of National Christian Leadership Committee for Israel (NCLCI).

Participated in fact-finding tour to Israel to meet with religious leaders, government officials, military specialists, ministry organizations, international news organizations, education leaders, and security personnel.

Meet quarterly with Executive Committee to disseminate information gathered by members, to organize and support conferences conducted by NCLCI

Invited speaker to NCLCI Israel Support Conference in New York City, July 2006.

Participated in development of new brochure for NCLCI.

Produced minutes for meetings.

Communicate with other Israel support groups to develop a network of support in America.

Participated in arranging for future meetings and contacting hotels, airlines and food services for meetings.
