CORE TWO
2101 Matthew I – Jimmilea Berryhill, DPhil:
This in-depth study will enable the believer to read all four gospels with new insight. The study deals with the cultural, historical, archaeological, and geographical settings of the New Testament. The course clarifies difficult passages in Matthew and opens the way for understanding other New Testament scriptures by revealing first century concepts.
2102 Hebrew Study Skills I – Douglas Wheeler, PhD, ThD:
Designed to introduce the student to Hebrew language for the purpose of Bible study, the course also teaches the student the value of using the lexicon and other study resources as tools to reaching a full understanding of Scripture.
2103 Church History I – Ron Moseley, PhD, DPhil:
Research into the history of the church and the ways in which that history affects our faith today. Hundreds of slides and pictures add to the interest and excitement of this study.
2104 Feasts of the Lord – Jimmilea Berryhill, DPhil:
This course is designed to include research and personal practice assignments, and is a joy in learning. The Biblical Feasts not only speak to Christians concerning the work of Messiah, they are examples of the cycles and rhythms of the life of a believer. The course contains explicit detail concerning various renderings of the Biblical Feasts, of contemporary practice, and the spiritual implications of each celebration.
2105 Jesus and His Times – Judith Fain, MA:
This course leads the student on a walk with Jesus in His time and is designed to encourage serious consideration of many of the misconceptions concerning the Jewish Messiah and His ministry on earth. Sound literary backgrounds serve as the foundation for this enlightening study of Jesus and His followers.
2206 Hebrew Study Skills II – Douglas Wheeler, PhD, ThD:
Study Skills II continues to teach the student how to study Scripture through Hebrew eyes. With the use of research aids, this course teaches the student the value of using the lexicon and other study resources as tools to reaching a full understanding of Scripture.
2207 Ancient Greece in the Development of the Early Church – Judith Fain, MA:
A critical study for New Testament believers. Understanding the Greek influence in the early church will answer long standing questions for followers of the Hebrew Messiah.
2208 History of the Church II – Jimmilea Berryhill, DPhil:
Part II of the Church History course leads the student to the present time and many of the familiar themes prevalent in the church during this age. History points to the errors repeated again and again by unsuspecting believers who have failed in true knowledge of Scripture. This course concludes with a challenge to prepare the church with knowledge and understanding of Biblical truths.
2209 Matthew II – Jimmilea Berryhill, DPhil:
Although two semesters are devoted to the Book of Matthew and its relationship to the other Gospel books, it is hardly a thorough study of the many aspects to be gleaned from this first century writing. The study poses to merely introduce a lifelong search for a relationship to God and His Messiah through revelation and inspiration of the written works of His Apostles.
2210 Introduction to Christian Leadership – Douglas Wheeler, PhD, ThD:
This course is designed to help the individual understand primary factors relating to leadership whereby those involved in working with others accomplish a unified goal. The course emphasis is on the utmost importance of the Scriptures and the Holy Spirit's work in the lives of an individual, for ministry goals to be realized.
